Frequently arising questions - and the due answers. How does the picture search work? Quite simply, by full text search: You can enter your notions in the searchbox in free words. All areas of the picture description are then searched accordingly. Short terms increase the probability of a succesful search. The following special characters can be used in search: To link with AND: •   Space between two words without further OR or AND NOT instructions •   Comma •   + (plus-sign) •   " AND " between words •   " UND " between words To link with OR: •   # (hash-sign) •   " OR " between words •   " ODER " between words To link with AND NOT: •   - (minus-sign) directly in front of the word •   " AND NOT " between words •   " UND NICHT " between words Entering several words WITHOUT special characters activates an AND-search. There is no distinction between capitalisation and lower case. What are volumes? Volumes are fresh, thematically correlating picture collections that appear at regular intervals. If you are looking for additional - correlating - picture motives, we shall go for a special search ourselves and submit you our relevant proposals. What is a series function? In order to keep search results manageable, a series function is activated. In the first instance only the presentation picture of a series will appear.  All further pictures of the series remain screened. A click on the yellow Plus-button makes the remaining pictures appear. The series function can, however, be generally deactivated. In this case all pictures of a series are always displayed. How flexible are the picture formats and sizes? Just turn to us if you need individual sizes which you do not find in our data bank. You can also count on our help in case you are in search of alternatives to an existing motive. We shall gladly search our picture archive for you in case of need. Why is there no online-pricelist? We know no mass processing - and therefore there is no generally valid pricelist on our website. Every utilization agreement with our customers is established individually and on the basis of the criteria listed hereafter. Which are the criteria for the calculation of the utilization fee? The amount of the utilization fee is generated from Designated use Number of copies Placement Size of reproduction Period of use / duration Range of distribution Reference points for our prices are the yearly published fees of the BVPA. It goes without saying that individual agreements are feasible at any time. For multiple use or complete picture volumes we also offer flat rates. This is determined by you! After registration on our home page you will receive our access data for direct online-download. As a user of APIS  picture-data bank you can download the pictures in High-Resolution from our data bank. Why are picture credits obligatorily connected with the use of a picture? As a rule, "ambient pictures" is the author of the pictures and has a  legal claim to the corresponding indication - in short: the mention of the name when  one of the pictures is used. "ambient pictures" has, therefore, to be  quoted as the author in all cases where no other entry exists in connection with a picture. In exceptional cases the name of another photographer will be mentioned and must be quoted for the picture credits. The answer to your own question was not included?
